Started a new, big hollow form on 9/19/2015. I was given so big blanks of Maple by my friend and fellow woodturner Chuck Lobaito. This piece should finish out around 15" tall. This day was spent turning the form, and now it needs to dry for a short while before i start the carving.
Turning and drawing done, now it just need to dry a while befor the carving starts.
Turning done, about 3/8" thick.
Its a large, deep piece so I used a steady for some extra support during hollowing.
Started between centers for the majority of the outside shaping.
